Lines showing how to connect the sails made no sense. Had to basically figure it out by experimenting until it worked. Even an assembled picture would have been helpful.

One of the cheaper and easier units you'll find that requires some level of self-construction, probably the "shallowest kiddie-pool" you'll find for the hobby for now next to it's sibling the Orion. This unit only requires basic physical assembly and rigging -- while the basic knots are done you 'will' need to adjust the bowsies, so if totally new may have at least a little learning. This is my personal first catamaran model, and I do note that the two rudders on mine do not rotate the same degrees horizontally (the left rear turns a distance further) but it seems to operate well enough to possibly because of vessel design. The images and manual leave a lot to be desired, and while you figure it out it isn't as intuitive as it could be. I think images in color would help a lot. While this cataman does have a keel it's not weighted and very short, so it will not take heavy winds without blowing over. That being said in a sheltered yard with a fence and a pool it works great. Keep in mind this boat is like the higher end units and uses a waterproof decal to cover opening in the hull, while these last a while they won't last forever. Replacements can be purchased or made if needed, but something to be aware of.

The instructions are a little confusing so I suggest watching videos on the topic before you start to familiarize with the terminology that is being used. The only complaint is that this boat has no keel which makes it easy to blow over even in the weaker waters. It does sail great on perfectly calm water with slight breezes though. I will add some weights to mine that will hopefully stop it from blowing over like it has in the past.
